Seasonal Rotation

Storing off-season clothing away and bringing the current season out, typically two to four times a year.

Rotation halves what you look at each morning and forces you to handle every garment twice a year — which makes it the best decluttering prompt available.

Timing: swap when the forecast has held outside your current range for about two weeks, not on a fixed date. Keep a transitional set out through the changeover.

The critical step is that everything goes into storage clean. Invisible body oils and food traces oxidise into permanent stains over months, and are the main thing that attracts clothes moths.
